What is Summarize Text?

Summarization text is an tool that condensing a text to its main concept and essential details. This differs from paraphrasing as summaries omit certain details and words. Summarizing is beneficial as it enables comprehension and retention of key concepts by simplifying the information.

How to use Summarize Text

STEP 1 - You can decide to use the Summarize Text tool singularly from the tool page or through the AI Editor.

  • To use it singularly go to the Summarize Text tool from the top menu or clicking this link
  • To use it in the editor open the AI Editor clicking on the top button "Editor App" or clicking this link, then chose the "Summarize Text" tool from the "Chose an AI Tool" selection list on the left side.

STEP 2 - Copy-paste the content you want to summarize in the "Text to Summarize" box. The limit we have right now is 3000 characters. 

STEP 3 - Choose the Language. Generation Settings (Before Step 4)
In the Generation Settings section, you will find additional functions of the tool that allow you to customize the generated content and select the quality of the output. Within Generation Settings, you can:
  • Activate memory to generate content based on a specific data source.
  • Activate personality to tailor the content with your own tone of voice.
  • Choose whether the generated content should be produced with Speed (using GPT-3.5) or Quality (using GPT-4). These settings give you greater control over the content creation process and can impact the content's uniqueness, style, and alignment with your goals.

STEP 4 - Click the “ASKtoAI” button

You will get your summarized text at the right. Click again on the “ASKtoAI” button generate a different result.

Example 1:

  • Text to summarize: Paleoanthropologists, scientists who study human fossils, are the primary source of knowledge regarding the origin of humans. They are responsible for identifying fossil sites, assessing the age of the fossils, and describing the features of the bones and teeth. Combining their research with genetic technology, they have been able to form hypotheses about prehistory, a period of time that includes pre-humans and humans and spans about 10 million years. During this time, events were not recorded in writing, so most information is obtained through examining fossils. These activities help to increase cognitive abilities, protect the brain and nervous system, and even slow the aging process. Neurotransmitters such as serotonin are released during physical exercise, providing a sense of well-being throughout the body. A recent study of 1.2 million individuals showed that exercising regularly can reduce days of poor mental health by 43%, however, it is important to not overdo it; the study revealed that excessive physical activity can actually worsen mental health. It is recommended to engage in physical activity no more than 3-5 times a week, for no longer than 45 minutes per session. Achieving mental wellbeing through sports is best achieved through team sports or those that involve social interaction. It is important to be mindful of over-exercising, as research has concluded that those who exercise for more than 90 minutes a day, on average, are worse off in terms of mental wellbeing.

Physical exercise is good for both your mind and body. It can help you reach your goals, take a break from stress and make you feel better. It can also help you think better, protect your brain and slow down the process of getting older. When you do physical exercise, your body releases special chemicals called neurotransmitters which make you feel good. It is best to do physical activity 3-5 times a week, for no longer than 45 minutes each time. Team sports or activities that involve other people are the best way to get the most out of exercising. Don't do too much though, as more than 90 minutes a day can make you feel worse.
